Organized in 1970, the laboratory carries out integrated research on the epizootiology and epidemiology of the diseases common to animals and humans, improves and develops new methods of lifetime and posthumous diagnostics of helminthoses, seeking funds and methods of mechanization and automation of diagnostics, improves measures of General prevention helminthoses.

Carried out comprehensive studies on the epizootiology and epidemiology of trichinosis, cysticercosis, echinococcosis, diphyllobothriasis, opisthorchiasis and other parasitic zoonoses.

Identified epidemiological link between poultry, wild animals and humans when gelmintozah. Developed prevention of these diseases.

On the territory of the Ryazan region in the wild for the first time found to have a lesion of alveolar echinococcosis and hydatidosis where the pathogen E. multilocularis circulates between carnivores and rodents. 

Recommendations for the prevention of helminthoses-borne meat, fish, meat and fish products, as well as the rules of veterinary-sanitary examination of products of slaughter.

For the first time in world practice, developed and widely implemented in meat processing enterprises of our country and CIS countries original technology and a complex of devices for diagnostics and veterinary expertise of carcasses and meat products for trichinosis.

Developed methods of lifetime and posthumous diagnostics of a variety of helminths, methods for screening for the causative agents of helminthiases of cattle-breeding premises, objects of the environment, soil and water.

In veterinary practice embedded indirect reaction of immunofluorescence reaction of Kol'ceprecipitacii in the capillary, immune-enzyme reaction (IGF) on trichinosis.
