Plant Parasitic Disease Commission Results dated January 30, 2026
The meeting of the Plant Parasitic Disease Commission was held at the VNIIP – FSC VIEV as a broad meeting, with representatives from other institutes and entities invited. The participants included specialists in parasitology, plant protection, and plant quarantine, as well as researchers and experts from nine research institutes, three technology companies, and the Tsitsin Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The Head of the Branch, Professor M.V. Arisov of the Russian Academy of Sciences delivered welcoming remarks to the participants and wished fruitful work. Reports and presentations were presented within the proposed agenda. After reviewing the materials presented, the participants of the meeting had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their topics of interest. A decision was made during the discussions to address certain aspects of the guidelines regarding discrepancies in the requirements. The participants were invited to make suggestions and corrections for consideration.
In the Commission's proceedings, Professor A. A. Shesteperov proposed recruiting new specialists to the working group. Sixteen specialists from various institutes dealing with plant protection were proposed for discussion as candidates. Following the discussions, the proposed candidates were approved.
