PREVALENCE OF TRICHINELLA INFECTION AMONG WILD ANIMALS AT THE TERRITORY OF THE REPUBLIC OF NORTH OSSETIA-ALANIA

Summary

One noted the tendency towards a decrease of incidence of Trichinella infection at the territory of North Ossetia in recent years; however a source of infection causative agent in natural biocenoses remained. Carnivores appeared to be the main natural source of Trichinella infection among which jackal was revealed as the dominant one. It had a high population and relatively high levels of infection.
