CRYPTOSPORIDIUM SPP. INFECTION IS THE OPPORTUNISTIC INFECTION OF CALVES

Summary

The high efficacy of azithromycin in combination with emidonol was found at Cryptosporidium spp., Eimeria ellipsoidalis infections and enterocolitis of Protozoa and bacterial etiology. In test group of animals Cryptosporidium spp. were not found at the microscopic examination as while E. ellipsoidalis were found only in two cases. The results of microscopic examination of calves in control group on day 5-10 post treatment were positive on Cryptosporidium spp. and E. ellipsoidalis. The terms of clinical recovery of calves varied 9 to 12 days post treatment.
