Diprocarb is the effective agent at infections caused by blood parasites

DIPROCARB IS THE EFFECTIVE AGENT AT INFECTIONS CAUSED BY BLOOD PARASITES

Summary

Diprocarb efficacies were evaluated on cattle, sheep, horses and dogs at Babesia bovis, Piroplasma bigemina, Nuttallia equi, Anaplasma ovis, Piroplasma caballi, Ehrlichia canis infections as well as at mixed infections. At Piroplasma infection the medical dose of diprocarb appeared to be 1 ml per 100 kg of body weight for cattle and sheep. At A. ovis infection 2 ml per 100 kg of body weight for horses and at mixed infection 2,5 ml per 100 kg of body weight for cattle (as single subcutaneous injection) and for horses (as a single intramuscular injection) were found as the optimum dose levels blood parasites.
