PATHOMORPHOLOGY OF ERYTHROCYTES AT DIROFILARIA IMMITIS INFECTION IN DOGS

Summary

Pathological changes take place in erythrocyte morphology in dogs affected by D. immitis. These changes are manifested in hypochromic anemia, presence of Zholli bodies, anisocytosis, growth of echinocyte and poikilocyte number as a result of hypoxia.
